INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY IN THE OFFICE
My office is in Atherton, 30 miles south of San Francisco.
The approach to our work can take various forms, including compassionate listening and dialogue around grief, personal change or work challenges. We may deal with new ways to communicate with people important in your life. Exploration for personal change might include the use of art forms such as collage or drawing dreams; developing a behavior modification series; meditations or shamanic journeying; hypnosis. Together, we might devise personal ceremony. A medicine circle here, dedicated to unfinished journeys, may play a part in our work.
I’m interested both in short term therapy that will create results felt and seen within a limited number of sessions, and situations in which a longer relationship with a caring listener helps unravel wounds carried over many years.
Fees for an office session roughly an hour long range from $90 – $150.
INDIVIDUAL WORK IN NATURE: ECO-THERAPY
Some sessions may be in nature, using the power of sacred places to facilitate personal healing, and to expand awareness of personal issues in the context of the web of life. Many people feel helpless in the face of issues that threaten life on earth, and patterns of human response that are repeated generation after generation. When sessions take place in nature, unique opportunities exist to couple personal healing with healing wounds to the earth inflicted through ignorance or disregard. Ecopsychology helps people develop and expand relationships with others, and with the natural, spiritual world we inhabit.
Location: At locations in the natural world of the San Francisco Bay Area appropriate to the specific issue (roughly three to four hours at the site, and up to an hour each way to the location)
Content: Individual healing work through relating to the site, dialogue, sitting or walking meditation, ceremony.
Fees: $150 for partial days, $200 for a 6 hour day.
PHONE CONSULTATION
Phone consultation or coaching may be arranged for clients who live at such a great distance as to make personal contact impractical.
JOURNEYS AND WORKSHOPS
Day-long workshops, spiritual retreats, or local journeys related to specific issues of personal or contemporary importance – environmental challenges, or experiences with a mountain location that impact transformation of consciousness. See journey section.
